How to Make the Krispy Kreme Calendar a Great Gift

Do you like doughnuts? Which doughnut chain do you like the best?

For me it is Krispy Kreme all the way. It started many years ago when the closest Krispy Kreme was an hour or more away from our house. My Daddy and second Mom would wake me up  in the wee hours of the morning for a Krispy Kreme run. This and our IHOP runs are fond memories from my childhood. Since then, Krispy Kreme has been our favorite doughnut place.

Ever year, when we would take Sierra to the beach for vacation, we had a tradition to get Krispy Kreme doughnuts before arriving at the hotel. When our beach vacations stopped because we adopted 6 kids, we would treat the children to Krispy Kreme on special occasions or when someone was having a hard day.

This was the case about 2 weeks ago. I went to Krispy Kreme to get doughnuts because Sierra had been sick on and off for several weeks. I thought a pick-me-up was in order. When I pulled to the drive-thru window, the clerk asked me if I wanted to buy a calendar for $6.00. She explained in the month of January I would get my money back and then the rest of the year I would have coupons for doughnuts and coffee.

I am getting free Krispy Kreme Doughnuts and you can too. Go get the Krispy Kreme calendar for $6.00 which includes over $110 in coupons.Click To Tweet

I decided this was a no-brainer!

I would pay $6.00 for the calendar and in January  I would get a coupon for a free dozen glazed doughnuts (valved @ $7.99) without spending a time. Oh, and there is a coupon for a free coffee with no purchase necessary.

Now, do you see how I just made my $6.00 back, got a free coffee and calendar. The rest of the year, I have coupons each month for free doughnuts, coffee or other Krispy Kreme products.

On the way home, I glanced over to see the calendar sitting on top of the doughnuts. It was then I realized that I would have to devise a plan; so that, I would not forget to use the coupons.

Here is what I have come up with to get the complete value out of the calendar.

1. Get 12 Envelopes

I got 12 envelopes and labeled each one with a month.

2. Place coupons in envelopes

Then, I placed the coupons for the month in the corresponding envelope.

3. Secure the envelopes in your primary vehicle

Now, I will tape the correct months envelope to the dash of the van. Whether we are traveling or just driving around our town, we will be on the lookout for a Krispy Kreme.

You see these Krispy Kreme coupons are valid at all Krispy Kreme across the US.

Nobody wants to just receive a calendar for a gift. Below is one suggestion on how to make the Krispy Kreme calendar a great gift.

Buy the calendar, set up the envelope system with the coupons inside.  Place all of this in a basket with 2 coffee mugs, a bag of coffee, and a gift card. This gift is practical, can be use all across the US, and doesn’t take up much room which makes it a great gift for traveling families.

Now to devise a plan on how NOT to gain weight while eating Krispy Kreme doughnuts once a month for the next year.
